About Resilient Roots

Meet Tricia McCloskey, LCSW, M-CASAC, MCPC
Hi, and welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
I started Resilient Roots, PLLC to create a space where healing feels grounded, growth feels possible, and care feels personal. With over 16 years in the mental health field, I’ve worked alongside individuals facing everything from anxiety and trauma to substance use and life transitions. What I’ve learned, through my clinical work and my own journey as a spouse, mother, and working professional, is that resilience isn’t just a trait. It’s something we build, nurture, and return to again and again.
Resilient Roots is named for the strength I’ve seen in my clients and in my own family. I come from a background shaped by service, including loved ones who are veterans and immigrants. I understand how layered our stories can be, and how important it is to feel seen, supported, and respected in care.
Over the years, I’ve held leadership roles in large organizations and nonprofits, helping improve systems while staying deeply connected to individual care. That blend of big-picture thinking and one-on-one support is at the heart of this practice. Whether you’re looking for therapy, an evaluation, coaching, or just a place to start, I’m here to walk alongside you. At Resilient Roots, we believe that growth doesn’t mean perfection, it means movement, clarity, and connection. Let’s find your path forward, together.
Why I Believe in Your Healing
My path to becoming a therapist started with a deep understanding of how life's challenges can feel overwhelming. I learned early on that everyone deserves access to compassionate mental health care that truly meets their needs.
Where It Started:
I was drawn to this work through my commitment to advocacy and my belief in human resilience. Seeing how proper support could transform lives motivated me to specialize in areas where people need the most help.
How It Changed Me:
Working with diverse populations taught me that healing isn't one-size-fits-all. This led me to explore innovative methods like KAP and Sylvotherapy alongside traditional approaches.
Why I Believe in You:
Every person has the capacity for growth and healing. My role is to provide the tools, support, and safe space you need to discover your own strength and create meaningful change.
