Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer out-of-network (OON) reimbursement or provide superbills?
Yes. Resilient Roots provides superbills—detailed invoices that may be submitted to an insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on the client's plan. A dedicated billing partner verifies benefits upfront to help clarify what may be reimbursable. Coaching and mentorship services are typically not eligible for insurance reimbursement. Clients are encouraged to confirm coverage with their insurer for full clarity.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments with appropriate notice, as outlined in the practice’s cancellation policy. Advance notice requirements, late cancellation fees, and rescheduling procedures are detailed in the intake documents and consent forms. Sessions canceled without sufficient notice may incur fees or be ineligible for rescheduling. To avoid disruptions, clients are encouraged to review all scheduling policies one the intake is scheduled.
Can I use my insurance?
Yes, Resilient Roots accepts both insurance and private-pay arrangements. Clients can use in-network insurance when available, and self-pay options remain accessible for those without coverage or who prefer greater flexibility. Coverage details may vary by service type and location, so clients are encouraged to confirm benefits directly with their insurer or reach out to our team for support.
Do virtual sessions work as well as in-person therapy?
Virtual care has been shown to be highly effective for a wide range of therapeutic goals. Sessions are delivered through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms and maintain the same clinical depth, attunement, and responsiveness as traditional in-person formats. Many clients appreciate the accessibility, privacy, and continuity that virtual sessions provide. Individual preferences, presenting concerns, and goals may guide whether virtual care is the right fit.
How do I know if this service is the right fit?
Finding the right therapeutic support is a personal process. A free 20-minute consultation is offered to help prospective clients ask questions, clarify goals, and assess alignment with available services. Modalities, approach, and clinical scope are outlined transparently to support informed decisions. Clients are encouraged to review service descriptions and reflect on what feels most supportive to their needs and identities.
What should I expect after scheduling a service?
After booking, clients receive secure access to intake materials tailored to the selected service. These may include informed consent documents, questionnaires, or guidance to clarify goals and expectations. The first scheduled session typically focuses on context-building, identifying priorities, and setting a foundation for future work. Each offering—whether psychotherapy, coaching, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), or specialized assessments—has its own structure and clinical scope. Clients are encouraged to review service descriptions and ask questions during the free consultation if unsure which option best fits their needs.
